Self portrait collage I made using graphite, india ink, sharpie, and paint marker on top of and behind chipboard, string, ash, printmaking paper, mylar, notebook paper, linen, leather, cardboard, and the cover of a sketchpad, held together with tacks, stitches, paperclips, staples, tape, and glue
I drew the sketch as a whole and inked it with a nib pen, then drew it again on a lightboard using a brush and ink, and collaged bits of those drawings along with further tracings of the original sketch on different surfaces
The list on the left includes themes present in the piece that represent myself, either through individual figures or through the whole composition. The list on the right includes my personal critiques of the piece and ideas for where its heading; some I brought into the work and others I omitted
I think most of all I’m trying to show an attempt at finding balance, progressing and improving among the vast number of things that lead me and follow me

Drawing I made the other day in World Civilizations class, there was a girl on a boombox on the other side of the paper that kinda messed up so you can only see the hint of it here
